Matthew 13
| Another parable put he
forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven
is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in
his field: |
| But while men slept, his
enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and
went his way. |
| But when the blade was
sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then
appeared the tares also. |
| So the servants of the
householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst
not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence
then hath it tares? |
| He said unto them, An
enemy hath done this. The servants said unto
him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them
up? |
| But he said, Nay; lest
while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also
the wheat with them. |
| Let both grow together
until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I
will say to the reapers, Gather ye together
first the tares, and bind them in bundles to
burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. |
Matthew 13:24-30 |
Matthew 13
| He answered and said unto
them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of
man; |
| The field is the world; the
good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the
tares are the children of the wicked one; |
| The enemy that sowed them is
the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and
the reapers are the angels. |
| As therefore the tares are
gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in
the end of this world. |
| The Son of man shall send
forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his
kingdom all things that offend, and them which do
iniquity; |
| And shall cast them into a
furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing
of teeth. |
| Then shall the righteous shine
forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who
hath ears to hear, let him hear. |
Matthew 13:37-43 |
Luke 17
| And when he was demanded of the
Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he
answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh
not with observation: |
| Neither shall they say, Lo
here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God
is within you. |
| And he said unto the disciples,
The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one
of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see
it. |
| And they shall say to you, See
here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow
them. |
| For as the lightning, that
lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth
unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the
Son of man be in his day. |
| But first must he suffer many
things, and be rejected of this generation. |
| And as it was in the days of
Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of
man. |
| They did eat, they drank, they
married wives, they were given in marriage, until
the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood
came, and destroyed them all. |
| Likewise also as it was in the
days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought,
they sold, they planted, they builded; |
| But the same day that Lot went
out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from
heaven, and destroyed them all. |
| Even thus shall it be in the
day when the Son of man is revealed. |
| In that day, he which shall be
upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let
him not come down to take it away: and he that is in
the field, let him likewise not return back. |
| Remember Lot's wife. |
| Whosoever shall seek to save
his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his
life shall preserve it. |
| I tell you, in that night there
shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken,
and the other shall be left. |
| Two women shall be grinding
together; the one shall be taken, and the other
left. |
| Two men shall be in the field;
the one shall be taken, and the other left. |
| And they answered and said unto
him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever
the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered
together. |
Luke 17:20-37 |
2 Thessalonians 1
| So that we ourselves glory in
you in the churches of God for your patience and
faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that
ye endure: |
| Which is a manifest token of
the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be
counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye
also suffer: |
| Seeing it is a righteous thing
with God to recompense tribulation to them that
trouble you; |
| And to you who are troubled
rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed
from heaven with his mighty angels, |
| In flaming fire taking
vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey
not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: |
| Who shall be punished with
everlasting destruction from the presence of the
Lord, and from the glory of his power; |
| When he shall come to be
glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all
them that believe (because our testimony among you
was believed) in that day. |
| Wherefore also we pray always
for you, that our God would count you worthy of this
calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his
goodness, and the work of faith with power: |
| That the name of our Lord
Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him,
according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus
Christ. |
2 Thessalonians 1:4-12 |
2 Thessalonians 2
| Now we beseech you, brethren,
by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our
gathering together unto him, |
| That ye be not soon shaken in
mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by
word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of
Christ is at hand. |
| Let no man deceive you by any
means: for that day shall not come, except there
come a falling away first, and that man of sin be
revealed, the son of perdition; |
| Who opposeth and exalteth
himself above all that is called God, or that is
worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple
of God, showing himself that he is God. |
